Kitchen remodeling

Kitchen remodeling, from quick refresh to full gut

Yes, the name says bath. But the same careful tile, trim and plumbing-aware planning makes for a great kitchen. We handle cabinets, counters, backsplash, lighting, flooring and the drywall patching nobody else wants.

Pick your level

Refresh

Keep the cabinet boxes and layout. Paint or reface cabinets, add new hardware, swap the counters, put up a backsplash and upgrade lighting. Big visual change, short disruption.

Mid-range remodel

New cabinets and counters in roughly the same layout, new sink and faucet, backsplash, lighting and often new flooring. The most common kitchen project in homes from the 1990s and 2000s.

Full gut

Layout changes, a new or bigger island, moved plumbing, wall changes and custom cabinetry. More planning, more permits, more wow.

How we keep your kitchen project sane

  • Order first, demo second. Cabinets and counters have lead times. We don’t rip out your kitchen until the key pieces are scheduled.
  • A temporary kitchen. We help you set up a coffee-and-microwave station elsewhere so life goes on.
  • Dust control. Kitchens sit in the middle of the house. We seal openings and protect floors on the main path.
  • Clear allowances. If you haven’t picked the counter yet, your written price shows the allowance so you know where you stand.

Popular upgrades

Tile backsplash, an island (prefab or custom), under-cabinet and recessed lighting, a deeper sink, pull-out storage, and new LVP or tile flooring that runs into the rest of the main floor. Pair it with flooring installation or carpentry while we’re there.

Cost

Indianapolis-area cost data puts a mid-range kitchen remodel around $129 to $202 per square foot, with refreshes far lower and full guts far higher. See kitchen remodel cost and planning a kitchen remodel budget.

Kitchen remodeling FAQ

Do you design kitchens?

We help with layout and selections for most projects and work from cabinet suppliers’ design services for cabinet layouts. If you want a dedicated designer, we’re happy to work with one.

Can I supply my own appliances or materials?

Usually, yes. We’ll note it in the written price so it’s clear who is responsible for what.

How long will I be without a kitchen?

A refresh might take a week or two of disruption. Full remodels take longer, mostly due to cabinet and counter lead times. We give you a schedule before demo.
