Bathroom remodeling

Bathroom remodeling, done start to finish by one crew

From a quick powder-room facelift to a down-to-the-studs primary suite, we handle demo, layout, waterproofing, tile, fixtures and trim, and we keep one person on point the whole way.

Light, spacious bathroom with a freestanding tub and a double-sink vanity

Three ways to remodel a bathroom

Not every bathroom needs to be gutted. We size the job to the problem, then price it in writing.

The refresh

Your tub or shower is in decent shape, but the vanity is tired, the floor is dated and the lighting makes everyone look ill. We swap the vanity and top, replace the floor, update faucets and lighting, and paint. Fast, tidy and the best bang for the buck.

The partial remodel

The layout works, but the bathing area has to go. We replace the tub or shower with proper waterproofing behind new tile, then follow through with a new vanity, toilet and floor. This is the most common job we expect to see in north-side homes built in the 1990s and 2000s.

The full gut

Everything comes out, down to the studs and subfloor. This is where we fix what years of moisture did, move fixtures if the layout fights you, add a curbless shower or a bigger vanity wall, and rethink lighting and ventilation.

What’s included when we remodel

  • Floor and hallway protection, dust barriers and daily cleanup
  • Demolition and haul-away
  • Subfloor and framing repairs when we find soft spots (shown to you and approved first)
  • Waterproofing behind and under every tiled wet area
  • Tile, vanity, counters, toilet, fixtures, mirrors, accessories and trim
  • Coordination of plumbing, electrical and any permit the job needs
  • A final walkthrough with you before we call it done

Details we sweat so you don’t have to

Ventilation. A fan that actually vents outside, not into the attic, and sized for the room. It’s the cheapest mold insurance there is.

Blocking in the walls. While the walls are open, we add solid wood backing where grab bars, towel bars or a future handrail might go. Costs almost nothing now, saves a headache later.

Lighting that flatters. Light at face level beside or above the mirror, plus a ceiling light, instead of one harsh fixture overhead.

Storage you’ll use. Recessed niches, drawers instead of deep cabinets, and a spot for the hair dryer that isn’t the counter.

What does it cost?

Size and scope drive the number more than anything. National cost guides put bathroom remodels at roughly $100 to $500 per square foot depending on how far you go. See the full breakdown on our bathroom remodel cost page, or build your own range.

Bathroom remodeling FAQ

Can you keep my existing tub and just redo everything else?

Often, yes. If the tub is solid and the surround is sound, we can work around it. If it’s a steel tub with chips or the wall behind it is soft, we’ll tell you honestly whether it’s worth keeping.

How long will I be without the bathroom?

A refresh can be a matter of days. Partial and full remodels take longer because tile, waterproofing and fixtures happen in sequence. We give you a schedule before we start. More in our timeline guide.

Do I have to pick everything before you start?

The big items, yes: tub or shower, tile, vanity and fixtures. We don’t want a half-demolished bathroom waiting on a backordered faucet. We help you narrow choices so it doesn’t take forever.
